February is often called the month of love. But love isn’t only about words or gestures. It can also look like support. It can mean showing up. It can be about believing in someone’s potential and helping turn that potential into opportunity.
At Employment Network of Southwest Florida, love shows up every day through inclusive employment, real guidance, and long-term support for adults with disabilities.
Love as Action, Not Just a Feeling
When families think about the future of a young adult with a disability, love often comes with questions. Will my son or daughter be ready to work? Will they be supported? Will they be treated with respect?
Inclusive employment is one of the most powerful ways love turns into action. It provides structure, purpose, confidence, and independence. It reminds individuals and families that they are not alone in the process.
The Importance of Inclusive Employment
Inclusive employment is more than just a job. It’s a pathway to a fulfilling life. It allows individuals to contribute to their communities while gaining valuable skills. This approach fosters a sense of belonging and purpose.
When we support inclusive employment, we create an environment where everyone can thrive. This is love in action.
Real Stories Behind the Support
Inclusive employment isn’t theoretical. It happens one person, one job, and one step at a time.
Grace — Doing What She Loves

Grace recently started working at Culver’s, doing what she enjoys most: customer service. She loves working with people, and that connection is a big part of her success.
Placing someone in a role that aligns with their interests makes a difference. It builds confidence. It encourages consistency. And it creates a sense of belonging.
Cesar — Preparing for What’s Next

Cesar is currently attending Project SEARCH at NCH, where he is rotating through several departments and building valuable work skills. He’s especially interested in bagging and stocking—roles that allow him to stay active and focused.
As part of his journey, we are supporting Cesar with job applications and interview readiness as he prepares for employment. Cesar is eager to start working and become a productive young adult. This stage of preparation is just as important as the job offer itself.
Why Community Support Matters
Behind every success story, there is a support system. Inclusive employment requires:
Individualized job coaching
Ongoing follow-up and guidance
Employer collaboration
Time, patience, and resources
Community support—especially through donations—helps make this possible. Every contribution helps fund employment services that go beyond the basics. It allows Employment Network of Southwest Florida to continue offering personalized support that leads to real, sustainable outcomes.
Love That Builds Opportunity
In February, love is often celebrated with cards and flowers. But love can also be practical. It can look like:
Helping someone prepare for an interview
Supporting a new employee through their first weeks
Guiding families through unfamiliar systems
Creating inclusive workplaces where everyone can succeed
That’s the kind of love that builds opportunity—and lasts far beyond one month.
